For a sunny day
I didn’t even need to wear my hat today, but it was expensive and I haven’t had that many chances so I did anyway.
I walked down to my car, pleased to see some grass escaping from under the snow. My car greeted me by being warmer than the outside air. The outside air replied by smelling like Spring. It was a toss up, but I was just happy not to have to turn on the heat immediately. Looking ahead and ready to pull out of lot B, the foot and a half of snow bordering the shoveled sidewalks and sun-soaked parking lot didn’t seem to stand a chance for such a beautiful day.
This song was perfect for today. I listened to Horchata all the way to the Y, singing along. It reminds me of summer just like the melting snow and helped to make my day.
